Rocky Close

Rocky Close is a beautifully renovated granite self-catering cottage with 4 bedrooms and stunning views across St Ives Bay.
Sleeping 8 guests, Rocky is the ideal holiday house for families and groups of friends – and it’s dog-friendly too.

Bifold doors in the lounge allow you to enjoy the incredible scenery whatever the weather. The views stretch from Hayle Estuary to Trevose Head, 25 miles up the North Cornwall coast.

Outside, you’ll find a decked area with a 6-person hot tub, perfect for relaxing in. And guests with a love of the outdoors will enjoy the proximity of many outstanding walks as Rocky is located on a lane with direct access to the South West Coastal Path.

Ground Floor

A small veranda leads to the front door of Rocky Close. Once inside, you’ll find a large open-plan kitchen and dining room, which leads to a lounge with bifold doors overlooking the decked area and hot tub. There’s also another separate lounge with a wood burning stove to keep you cosy in the colder months, with plenty of seating for everyone.

The kitchen is well-equipped with a range cooker, American ice-making fridge freezer and microwave. You’ll find all the items you need to cook and prepare meals during your self-catering holiday – and there’s even a dishwasher so there will be no arguments about who does the washing up.

Rocky has a separate utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and an extra dishwasher. And there’s a handy shower room on this floor as well.

There’s also a ground floor bedroom with super king-size bed, plus an ensuite shower room. This would be an ideal room for guests who struggle with the stairs, or perhaps for grandparents who might enjoy some peace and quiet away from the rest of the house.

On the first floor, there are three bedrooms as well as a family bathroom.

The master bedroom has a super king-size bed and an ensuite shower room. This bedroom enjoys glorious views of The Island and Godrevy Lighthouse. The second bedroom has two single beds and lovely views of the bay. And the last bedroom also has two single beds, and views of the gardens behind the house.

All beds will be made up for you, so there’s nothing for you to do when you arrive except start enjoying your holiday in Cornwall. All bedrooms have their own TVs and there’s superfast unlimited broadband throughout the property for you to stay connected.

In the family bathroom, you can enjoy a luxurious soak in the roll-top bath. There’s also a separate shower, basin and WC. Towels are provided for use in the house, but please bring beach towels with you.

Dogs are very welcome at Rocky from September to June, but not during July and August. There are lots of fabulous walks, as well as dog-friendly eateries in the local area, so they will have a great time on holiday with you. However, we ask you to please keep them off the sofas and beds, and don’t leave them home alone.

During school holidays/peak season, this property lets on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis.

The spacious, private decked area at Rocky Close is the perfect spot to take in the breath-taking coastal views, while soaking up some sun and fresh air. Accessed through the bifold doors from the holiday cottage’s open plan living area, you’ll find a 6-person hot tub to relax in, as well as a warm outdoor shower to wash off any excess sand from the beach. There’s plenty of outdoor seating for everyone, so take your breakfast, lunch and dinner outside – you can even fire up the gas barbecue and do some al fresco cooking. Or simply sit and watch the world go by. For guests who wish to explore, there are some terrific local walks, including those on the South West Coast Path, which is right on Rocky’s doorstep.

Parking & EVC

Rocky has parking for 3 cars and a free electric vehicle charging point.
